Notice Regarding Unsolicited Holocaust Compensation Correspondence

The Claims Conference is aware that Holocaust survivors and family members may have received correspondence from an organization referring to itself as the “Holocaust Survivors Compensation Program” or “JHCC,” including letters concerning potential eligibility for compensation or restitution.

The Claims Conference is not affiliated with this organization, has not authorized these communications, and is not involved in sending or administering these letters. We are not familiar with this organization and cannot verify its identity, services, representations, or legitimacy.

Holocaust survivors and their families should exercise caution when receiving unsolicited communications concerning compensation, restitution, or Holocaust-related claims. In particular, we recommend that individuals not provide personal, financial, identification, banking, family-history, or other sensitive information to an organization or individual whose identity and legitimacy they have not independently verified.

The Claims Conference does not charge survivors or families a fee to apply for Claims Conference compensation programs and does not require applicants to retain a lawyer or other paid intermediary to apply for benefits administered by the Claims Conference.

If you receive a communication that appears to relate to a Claims Conference program and are uncertain whether it is legitimate, please contact the Claims Conference directly at +1-646-536-9100 or info@claimscon.org before providing any personal information or taking further action.
