  • What We Do

The Claims Conference funds organizations around the world that provide essential social services for Jewish victims of Nazi persecution, and who understand the priorities in their communities and how to address them.

We work together with our agencies to develop strategies to keep Holocaust victims healthy and fed, to deliver care in their homes, to bring them social opportunities, and to apply for compensation payments and government benefits.

For 2014, the Claims Conference made grants totaling $306 million to agencies and institutions that assist Jewish victims of Nazism in 47 countries.

The Claims Conference also provides grants to organization for programs of Shoah education, documentation, and research to ensure the memory and lessons of the Holocaust are preserved for current and future generations.
