The Claims Conference supports scholars and research institutions in researching pre-war Europe and North Africa in its relationship to the Shoah; developments during the Holocaust, including the responses of Jewish communities; and the Shoah’s immediate aftermath. Priority is accorded to institutions that demonstrate willingness to coordinate and share their research and work.

Through its contributions to Holocaust-related research and publication, and, increasingly, websites, the Claims Conference has helped expand what is known about the Shoah and has facilitated the preservation of that knowledge.
