The Claims Conference is looking for a Programmer to join our IT department in our NY HQ. We need an individual contributor with strong problem analysis skills to identify client needs via face-to-face communication. Your high level of organization enables you to excel at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive project deliverables and deadlines in a self-directed manner. Your inquisitiveness, sense of ownership and passion to deliver exemplary service to organizations will enable your success in this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base in the latest programming technologies, including full stack, modular and distributed.


  • Perform business analysis to evaluate the application needs of business units;
  • Develop new applications (front-end and back-end/Full Stack);
  • Interact with users on testing and implementation of applications;
  • Maintain and support existing applications;
  • Implement changes and additional features to applications as needed;
  • Create standardized and custom reports;
  • Develop and implement packages and maintenance plans for various projects;
  • Support the Director of Software Development as necessary.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a related discipline or equivalent programming experience;
  • Strong in C#, .Net (MVC), ORM (Entity Framework), LINQ;
  • Web Development especially HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX;
  • Knowledgeable in SQL. At least 2 years’ experience with MS SQL Server 2012 or later, including knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.;
  • Familiarity with ADO, RDO, and ODBC;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • IIS and other Webhosting knowledge;
  • Restful Api;
  • Mobile App Development (iOS / Android) preferred but not required;
  • Advanced in MS Access and Excel with knowledge of VB and VBA.
