Human Resources Coordinator

The Claims Conference is a global, non-profit organization committed to providing a small measure of justice to Holocaust Survivors.  Our headquarters are in New York while the 200+ social service agencies we fund are located in 47 countries across 6 continents. In 2019, the Claims Conference will distribute approximately $350 million in direct compensation and nearly $550 million in grants that provide support to over 130,000 Survivors worldwide. Our Research, Education and Documentation grants fund museums and films, such as recent Oscar Award Winner (Best Foreign Film) Son of Saul, that provide meaningful and accessible methods of engagement with generations who may not be able to meet survivors first-hand. We continue to actively negotiate with the German government to expand funding criteria, such as the recent recognition of Algerian Survivors, enabling them to receive compensation for their experiences for the first time in history. We have an entry-level opening on our HR team that will give you the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to launch your career in Human Resources. As the HR Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to build strong business relationships across organizational levels by delivering exemplary service to hiring managers. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player and organized self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your inquisitiveness, sense of ownership and exceptional communication skills will enable your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes while ensuring a seamless experience for internal and external clients;
  • Liaise with staffing agencies and build networks with local colleges/universities to establish talent pipelines;
  • Maintain databases and complete staffing-related reports to support data-driven efficacy;
  • Ensure employee files are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
  • Required proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented with a keen analytical aptitude that you apply to your problem-solving capabilities.
