The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) is very pleased to announce the recent expansion of the Hardship Fund to all areas of the former Soviet Union. This has been a long-sought goal of the Claims Conference in its ongoing negotiations with the government of Germany to provide a measure of justice for Jewish victims of Nazism who have not yet received payment. Those eligible will be entitled to a one-time payment of €2,556.46.
There is no fee to obtain or submit an application for compensation from the Claims Conference. If you already receive a pension from the Claims Conference, you are not entitled to receive this one-time payment from the Hardship Fund and therefore should not submit an application. Only the person who has suffered persecution as a result of the Nazi regime may apply for compensation. Heirs are not eligible to file an application. Please read the eligibility form.
THE FUND IS OPEN AS OF NOVEMBER 1, 2012. YOU DO NOT NEED A LAWYER TO APPLY.
