ZRBG Ghetto Pension Law: Claims Conference Continues to Press German Government
On June 26-28, 2007 a Claims Conference delegation met with a series of German political figures including Heinrich Tiemann, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Brigitte Zypries, Minister of Justice.
Negotiations focused on the high rejection rate, disparate treatment of applicants, and recent and pending German court decisions.
In addition, ongoing discussions on this subject with the Ministry of Finance are also taking place.
Coordination with the Government of Israel is taking place.
Representations on this issue are also being made by U.S. Congressional representatives.
