Reporting Manager  (German fluency required) 

The Claims Conference is looking for a Reporting Manager to lead organization-wide reporting initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the German government’s Federal Ministry of Finance and gain exposure to the compensation process and unique relationship between a government body and nonprofit foundation. You should be comfortable managing multiple, interdependent working components while driving project deliverables and deadlines with a keen sense of urgency. The essential skills that will enable your success are an ownership mentality, ability to translate data requests into reports that present information in a clear, easy-to-consume format, and German language fluency. This position is located at the Claims Conference’s NY HQ and requires up to 15% international travel. 

Responsibilities 

  • Liaise with the German government’s Federal Ministry of Finance to develop and establish reporting requirements, formats, and deadlines; 
  • Manage the global reporting process including scheduling;  
  • Create and maintain internal dashboards and reporting platforms for tracking purposes; 
  • Compile and deliver timely reports on programs across the Organization utilizing varied platforms and databases; 
  • Develop deep and nuanced understanding of Claims Conference programs and initiatives, funds and fiscal policies; 
  • Other projects as needed. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors’ degree; 
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in project management or managing/reporting data; 
  • Fluency in German language; 
  • Advanced proficiency of Excel; 
  • Project management skillset, including high level of organization and attention to detail; 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership.
